I recently decided to do a digital study of Norman Rockwell. I've always been drawn to Norman Rockwell's slightly cartoony realism in his paintings and wanted to challenge myself to try and figure out how I would translate paining like that in a digital environment. I ended up using my Wacom for this because even though I love procreate on my iPad, Ijust couldn't figure out what I would do to get some of the detail that I was looking for especially with the use of special brushes. I am one of the many people that have really enjoyed using Kyle's brushes. I think his brushes are wonderful to use and they give enough for variation that it doesn't feel like you're repeating the same stroke pattern every time you use it. I know that if I gave myself enough time I could really come to something that I felt was a great finish product with this but I just really want to spend an afternoon trying to see what I could do in the amount of time to achieve some sort of likeness to the original painting I felt like I did that.
